I was diagnosed in 2016 after a D and C to remove my Paragard Iud plus a cyst on my right ovary. But I believe in my heart that I had it for awhile before I was ever diagnosed. Thank you Tia and God Bless You!

r. love I would experiment to find it what works with you a lot of people say the raw food diet such as lots of greens help them but always consult a doctor first of course

@r. love You could try cutting out dairy products from your diet a week before your periods. Or even going vegetarian or vegan. Try experimenting with different diets but my advice would be to cut out meat and dairy products. You could try only fish or cut out all meat. Try and see if it helps.

@kap849 I don’t even eat dairy and my periods are painful. I don’t think being vegan helps everyone. 🙁

Fortunately that’s the one thing that helped me so I always recommend it to others. I really hope you find something that works for you.

@kap849 did u find that going vegan helped with your bleeding as well or did u just notice improvements in pain? Thx for the tip, ive had awful inflammation, endo, and PCOS. I’ve been thinking of going vegan/vegetarian for awhile now.

Many people were practicing the whole food diet even before Dr. Sebi.

Diet and exercise totally helped me. It was something I discovered on my own. I cut out dairy, bread and red meat and became more active. It has changed my life and I haven’t had a flare up or pain in over 8 years. Praise God because the pain was excruciating

Vanett77 says:
July 9, 2019 at 1:40 am

@Anita Knight I’m still doing well I realized I forgot to mention I’ve also been taking birth control(seasonique) as well but honestly before the diet changed I was still having pain. I’m still very active which I love and trying to eat 80% healthy. I just can’t seem to kick my sweet tooth.

Anita Knight says:
July 9, 2019 at 2:21 am

@Vanett77 same sweets for me is my vice haha, I thought giving up pop is tough lol but sugar is rough. What changes do u feel contributed to diminishing pain & symptoms the most? I notice a lot of pain w red meat, dairy, sometimes even caffeine. I’m so grateful u shared your experience. I want to have my life, confidence, and ability to be active back which the pain & inflammation took its toll on me.. gluten, dairy, and sugar definitely causes so much inflammation and pain yet it’s so addictive and delicious in like everything haha

Vanett77 says:
July 9, 2019 at 3:40 am

@Anita Knight I would say beef and white bread. I noticed the pain was always worse if I had consumed within the month. I had to really learn my body and pay attention at how food was affecting me. It’s a forever journey

Anita Knight says:
July 9, 2019 at 3:52 am

@Vanett77 girl ain’t that the truth. I’ve had a tough time ever feeling comfortable and at peace in my own body. I’ve had severe menstrual cycles hormone imbalances since a teen. Pcos and endometriosis. I was thinking of trying seasonique, u do well with it? My pain and cycles were so bad I was on depo off on for years and it took away periods but made my hormones weight so much worse. I notice that too especially dairy, red meat, wheat for sure. I’m considering going paleo or plant based

Vanett77 says:
July 9, 2019 at 10:37 am

@Anita Knight I have not had any issues with this bc whatsoever. No increase in appetite, no hormonal changes and its nice not having a period for 90 days tbh but even when I do its super light and lasts only a few days compared to what I’ve gone through in the past. You should check it out and talk to your gynecologist. I hated depo!

Luz Hernandez says:

I’m so happy there’s so much talk about endometriosis. When I was sixteen, no one had no idea what it was. For so long I’ve had doctor’s, particularly male, tell me that I was just exaggerating. That it was a typical menstrual cycle. Now at 34, I’m managing and having less pain.

Bitter Melon says:
May 15, 2019 at 12:29 am

What are you doing to lessen the pain?

Glad to see celebrities step out and speak up about this awful condition. But also, I’m dissapointed about the spread of more false information about the condition. Diet can be so helpful with endo, so I’m glad Tia focused on this. However, I wish more celebrities and especially gynocologists researched this condition more thoroughly and didn’t rely on theories which have been disproven by research. The continued spread of these old, poor theories regarding origin snd treatment just lead to more women not being properly treated. Mad respect for you, Tia. Thank you for speaking up. Above all else, please encourage women to research and educate themselves about the condition.
