I am 69. My weight is just right or on the lower side. I hv a stent in my heart and also fluctuating heart rate. I do not have BP or Sugar. I have to get myself periodically checked by my Doctor .

I agree, or for those with Obesity issues, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc…If you are healthy with good vital signs and know how to eat right and exercise you don’t need this diet.

I know with my experience that Keto diet may be good only till a certain age and that too depending on conditions.

Just a caution with the Keto way of eating, it’s not as healthy as it’s cracked up to be. Adverse effects only started showing for me after 10 years on it. Sure I lost weight but I lost my health in the process. Eat which ever way works for you but also be aware and keep your mind open. If you start to see any of these negative effects happening in your body like hair loss or feeling cold all the time, then take action immediately. Any oil in Coffee is disgusting or any cream and sugar for that matter. You drink a good coffee for its natural test and hence should be drunk black. If it is not a good Ethiopian (Arabica) type of coffee don’t drink it.

The food industry is now taking over the Keto craze and making it their own. The amount of crap labeled Keto in the supermarket shelves is staggering. the 99% the hurds we are will fall for it in no time. I just don’t like the cult mentality around this Keto diet either. That is when people turn this into a hobby rather than just eating God given food.

Countless long term and short term studies have been done and they all show that keto is no more effective than eating carbs in your diet. You just have to eat equal calories

Why not. drink them neat but don’t binge for all the alcohol ill effects apply. Alkohol frequented in excess of just few amounts will damage your liver in the long run. Also expect to be out of Ketosis for 12 hrs everytime you binge.
